The Fraser Public Library is Opening Up the Building for Browsing and Computer Use.
After having the building closed to the public once more due to health concerns, the Fraser Public Library is reopening for patrons to browse and use the computers.
Starting Monday, Feb. 1, patrons may come into the library to browse the stacks, choose new titles and have access to our electronic services. The library will open at the beginning of each hour and close 45 minutes after to be thoroughly disinfected. The library with then reopen at the start of the hour.
A maximum of 12 patrons are allowed in the library at a time to follow capacity limits set in place by the state and local health departments. Upon entering the library, we ask patrons know the following:
Laminated cards will be located at the front of the library; we ask each person entering the library grab one so we can ensure we don’t exceed capacity.
Patrons will have up to 45 minutes in the library depending on time entered. The library will close 45 minutes past the hour, each hour to clean heavily trafficked areas. To ensure patrons have enough time, we encourage them to promptly arrive at the start of the hour.
Computers will be available without a reservation, but same time constraints apply and patrons will have a maximum of 45 minutes at a time on the computer depending on time of arrival.
Upon exiting the building, we ask patrons to place their laminated card in the basket at the circulation desk to be disinfected for the next patron.
If at any point the library reaches capacity, the doors will be temporarily locked until capacity can accommodate more patrons.
Library hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Additionally, pursuant to the CDC, state and local health department suggestions, masks are required to enter the building if medically able. We kindly ask anyone presenting symptoms of COVID-19 to refrain from entering the building.
Curbside service is still available for patrons wanting to pick up holds or additional materials over the phone.
